In October of 2023, High Museum staff traveled to Gee’s Bend to attend the second annual Airing of the Quilts festival and interview quilters in the High’s collection. Katherine Jentleson, Senior Curator of American Art and Merrie and Dan Boone Curator of Folk and Self-Taught Art, shares her experiences from that trip.
